How do I clean my hope&plum baby carrier?Updated 11 days ago

Life with children can be messy, so we've designed our baby carriers to be easy to clean. Each carrier has very similar wash instructions, but there are occasionaly some minor differences!

For Larks and Sproutsremove all accessories, undo your buckles, and unscrunch the seat before washing. Machine wash in cold water, on a gentle cycle, and in a laundry bag. After washing, hang your Lark to dry or lay it flat to dry instead. Do not use bleach or detergents with optical brighteners. Two alternatives you can substitute in your wash process are hand washing in cool water and tumble drying on low or no heat with dryer balls.

For ring slingscover your rings with a pair of socks tied with a hair tie to protect them. Machine wash in cold water, on a gentle cycle, and in a laundry bag. After washing, hang your sling to dry or lay it flat to dry instead. Do not use bleach or detergents with optical brighteners. If you'd rather hand wash your sling in cool water as an alternative, that's also fine! Remember, if you swim in your sling, don't forget to rinse your sling in cool water and air dry fully before storing.

For baby wrapsmachine wash your carrier in cold water, on a gentle cycle, and in a laundry bag. Hang your wrap or lay it flat to dry remembering that wraps are long and they need plenty of space to spread out. Alternatively, you can tumble dry your carrier on low with dryer balls (this also helps it soften faster!). As with all the carriers, do not use bleach and avoid detergents with optical brighteners. Lastly, wraps get softer with every wash! So don't be afraid to give it a good cleaning for the comfort of you and baby.

For meh daisremove all accessories on the carrier, untie the cinch and unthread the waistband rings and straps before washing. Machine wash your carrier on cold, with a gentle cycle, and in a laundry bag. You can also hand wash in cool water as an alternative. Hang dry or tumble low, and of course, no bleach and no detergents with optical brighteners.

For drool pads & accessoriesremove any accessories from your carrier before washing. Machine wash accessories in cold water and on a gentle cycle, in a laundry bag. Never store your accessories while they're wet or damp. Make sure they fully dry before putting them away. If your baby uses the drool pads, make sure you remove them from the carrier promptly to prevent mold.

Finally with all carriers, avoid washing with items that have snaps, buttons, Velcro, or zippers!

Check out our website for more information on care instructions for each carrier as well as tips for hard stains and other answers for questions regarding washing and breaking in your new carrier!

And finally, don't forget the natural fibers in all our carriers will soften beautifully over time while maintaining their supportive structure.
