What fabrics are the ring slings made of, and which one is right for me?Updated 6 hours ago
We have two fabric options for our ring slings: linen/cotton and our signature hope&plum hemp/cotton blend! Each one is a superstar in its own right, bringing something special to babywearing.
Our linen/cotton blends are the lightweight champions of breathability and strength. Linen is super airy, which makes it ideal for warmer weather or parents and babies prone to getting sweaty, but it may not offer as much support for heavier babies as it is only one layer of fabric. They come in a single layer for that airy, easy-breezy feel. They also have a little more texture due to being woven, but they are still soft and snuggly!
Our signature fabric, the hope&plum hemp/cotton blend, is not just supportive; it's like a hug from a cloud. Hemp is a fantastic natural fiber known for its durability and strength. When blended with cotton, it creates a strong, breathable fabric while still soft and easy to use! We sew together two lightweight layers of our hemp blend fabric, providing excellent support and handling heavier babies comfortably. Our hemp/cotton blend also helps you stay cool in the heat and cozy in the cold.
With two great fabric options for our ring slings, it's understandable that it's hard to choose!
So, which one do you need? It often comes down to personal preference and your specific needs. A linen blend might be your go-to choice if you're in a hot climate or plan to use your carrier during summer. If durability and long-term use are top priorities for you, a hemp blend is your best bet!
