How long can a newborn stay in a carrier?Updated 11 hours ago
There's no set time limit for babywearing. As long as both you and baby are safe and comfortable, baby can stay in the carrier!
You should always clearly see a newborn's face so you can do frequent airway check-ins. Also monitor baby's temperature and get in tune with baby's needs.
Take baby out if you notice any breathing issues, baby is too hot or cold, baby's hands, feet, or toes are changing colors, or if baby needs changing.
Also listen to your body and build up to babywearing gradually. If you're uncomfortable, take a break.
A caregiver should never sleep while wearing baby in the carrier.
